It's official. We are going to Taiwan on April 1st and coming back on the 16th.
Our trip to get to our hotel in Taiwan will take around 35 hours from the time we leave our house.
Our house - SLC Airport - LAX Airport - Seoul Airport - TPE (Taiwan) Airport - Bullet Train (190 MPH)to Taichung- Hotel
We plan on spending around 5 days in my mission visiting my friends, favorite restaurants, malls, night markets etc.. We will also be hiking a mountain to see wild monkeys. We will then take the train south to Gaoxiong where we are going to stay here (http://kenting-en.landishotelsresorts.com/). This will be a very relaxing time for us. Then we are going to take a 10 hour scenic train ride through the Taroko National Park up the east coast of Taiwan where we will stop to go on a Whale watching cruise and then finally end up in Taipei. In Taipei we are going to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101, Shilin Night Market, and take a trip to the temple.
Then it is back to Provo to take my finals!

that sounds so awesome right now. but my question is--how do you have time to just leave for 2 weeks in the middle of the semester? that's crazy talk! :-)
What?? We are doing all that?? Sounds great! You are the best trip planner ever.
I know that it will be such a good trip that it will erase the memory of a 3 hour trip to the post office and $265 to get an expedited passport!!
Oh my gosh, that sounds amazing. I am so jealous! And I hope you don't NEED to study for your finals, because it doesn't sound as if you'll have much time or inclination to do so...
